Who we are:

Red Stone Equity Partners, a high-quality real estate financial services company, is a fast-growing firm specializing in low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) equity investments and other affordable housing efforts. Red Stone-managed investment funds acquire interests in affordable multifamily housing communities throughout the United States.

Red Stone is searching for talented, ambitious, and self-driven candidates for the analyst position in our Credit Team. The Analyst is responsible for analyzing various aspects of a proposed LIHTC investment, focusing on the financial model, partnership documents, and guarantor financial information.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Review internal financial projections and partnership documents to ensure that the items are in sync with one another prior to the closing of the real estate investment
  • Review financial statements (Guarantors, Sponsor, etc.) and provide an analysis and opinion on the financial position of the individual(s) or entity/entities including, liquidity, unrestricted net worth, etc.
  • Analyze the schedule of real estate owned for the proposed Sponsor/Guarantors and provide an opinion and conclusion regarding the portfolio including debt coverage, occupancy, cash flow, etc.
  • Review the financial model and letter of intent when LIHTC transactions are being proposed for presentation to Red Stone’s Investment Committee
  • Help coordinate and track status of cost segregation reports
  • Assist in other ad-hoc projects for the Credit Team

What we’re looking for:

  • BS in Accounting, Finance or other related field; CPA or CFA is a plus
  • Familiarity with the affordable housing industry
  • Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Salary $60,000 – $70,000 plus 10-20% bonus range

Paid, Spring Internship – Audit and Tax Intern Associate | Portfolio Management, Finance

Red Stone-managed investment funds acquire interests in affordable multifamily housing residential communities throughout the United States.

Red Stone is searching for talented, ambitious, and self-driven candidates to work with our Portfolio Management, Finance Department. Reporting to the VP | Portfolio Management, the Intern Associate will primarily focus on assisting with the review of audits, tax returns and other related finance documents related to the Company’s tax credit investments and Red Stone investment Funds.  Successful candidates will be motivated and excited to learn about our industry. We are now seeking to recruit and develop exceptional talent to be the future of our company and provide them with the tools to be successful.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Assist in the review of annual audits and tax returns for each tax credit investment;
  • Update internal financial schedules for all Funds;
  • Assist with external auditor inquiries and communications to enable the completion of the annual Fund audits and tax returns;
  • Assist in the updating of financial models of tax credit investments for Quarterly Investor Reports;
  • Become proficient in the Company’s portfolio management database, and responsible for finance-related fields and data management (ensure completeness and accuracy); and
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Training and Support:

Orientation to Red Stone, the tax credit syndication business while being exposed to multiple lines of business over the course of your internship. Development of initial work plan and timeline with supervisor related to above tasks. Weekly meetings to review, plan, and provide coaching around various aspects of the internship experience. Take part in team meetings when relevant to the scope of the position. Participate in an intern program feedback process.

What we’re looking for:

  • A current college student in their Junior or Senior year, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a graduate student enrolled in Masters of Accountancy program. We will also consider a professional with an accounting background seeking part-time work.
  • Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above;
  • Commitment to Company Core Values;
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and tight deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills; Collaborative and flexible style;
  • Ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word;
  • Outstanding analytic and organizational skills, a high degree of intellectual curiosity;
  • Well organized and self-directed individual, as well as a team player; and
  • Ability to draw connections between different disciplines.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: November 2025 to May 2026, or January 2026 to May 2026, based on applicant availability
  • Required commitment: 10-25 hours per week
  • Paid Internship
  • Hybrid work environment (remote and in-office at the Charlotte location)
  • Compensation: $23 per hour
